Outdoor

I finally done planting :) I planted few vegetables in my garden like tomatoes, bittermelons, green peas, eggplants and chillis. Few roses survived and the rest just died. Perennials plants are starting to bloom. Can't wait to see them all in full bloom.

We are enjoying the weather, we had barbeques and dine out in our backyard once in a while. We had to, while there's not a lot of mosquitoes and flies yet. My fly swatters and mosquito coils are ready lol!

Summer Look

I made a little transformation of my living room from winter color to summer look, just to lighten up a bit!
I have many fabrics that had been set aside for a while and I am proud to tell you that I turned those fabrics to pillow cases :) *giving myself a pat on the shoulder* lol! I don't like sewing, although I grew up in a home that mom sewed a lot. I also took sewing lessons when I was in high school but didn't really paid that much attention. Hubby bought me sewing machine on my 38th birthday and I haven't use it very often :(  so now it's my chance.

Just as I told you that I want to learn and "like" these stuff , although making  fragrances recipe is more easier lol... But I did good! don't you think? It's simple pillow cases, still working on some fancy ones hehe...

Here we go...

Floral prints. I love the color, it's soft and calming to the eyes

A leaf. Perfect for my earth tone living room

I change all my burgundy/browns to greens/beige even curtains

my beautiful daisies

Family memory wall. I will add more pics in this side.

There's nothing I can think of to lighten this area :) no vibes...lol

Dining area

Kitchen

I really don't know what to do with this kitchen wall. So while I am searching for that wooden plate rack that I wanted, I put this up temporarily. I love this frame that says "Taste and see  that the Lord is good".

My granite counter top is coming soon. I might change the sink as well.

Well folks, that's all for now. Hope you enjoy your virtual tour in our house and hope that you all have an enjoyable summer!

Celebrating Love

Just click this button if you want to hear the music.

(Music playing is a song played in our wedding "For Always" by Cece Winans.)

We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary yesterday! God's grace and abundant blessings are overflowing. As I looked back over the years of our marriage, He never fails.

No, our Carribean trip didn't come together this year, but that's ok. It will not make me whine and kick :) that's not the most important thing right now, although I would really love to get away with just me and hubby. Somehow in the craziness of life's schedule these days we couldn't find the right timing. We are still planning to go, maybe on our 20th who knows?

It's been a great day! With all of those unending sweet little nothings, roses and fine dining at  Sydneys, so peaceful and relaxing, a walk along the lake completed my day.  This time we just took time to hold hands and talk about us. Not our teenager's choices, or foster children, or some other people's concern, or about what flowers i will plant or why our neighbor's lawn have so many weeds, or did you lock the door or forgot to close the garage door, or what will be our schedule for tomorrow... no, not that kind of conversation. But a conversation that gives us an opportunity to looked back and see how God brought us this far, we've grown a lot in our relationship to each other. There are rough edges and bumpy roads but it's amazing how we dealt with it positively with God's hand upon our lives.
A kind of conversation that seems harder and harder to find time for in the midst of life. A conversation to remember, treasure and hold on to. For another day will surely come where these conversations will be the sweetest of all our memories. It is priceless and precious, so beautiful.
I am looking forward for these kind of conversation again. In the balcony of caribbean cruise maybe? or from the overlooking city of Tuscany, lol. I love hubby more than ever! he's the best thing that ever happened to me. I love him each day!

Jesse Fortz, you're still the one! (((huggies))) .

These photos are our very first wedding anniversary in HongKong.

Nineteen years later...

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul. Our wedding was many years ago but celebration continues to this day."

Happy 19th!

Blessings

Singing night with Jessica. I encouraged her to sing more and this is what we often do at night :) We recorded few songs and this is one of her favorite song.

God's blessings comes in different forms. We ought to thank Him all the time! He is good.

Blessings
( by Laura Story)

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plead
And long that we'd have faith to believe

Bridge:

 When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home

Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise

The Lens of Possibility

What if everybody in the whole world decided to start looking at life through the lens of possibility?
There would be no boring people. There would be no average days. There would be no mediocre activity. There would be no reason for prolonged discouragement and constant whining and complaining. Nothing to hold us back from conquering the enemies that steal our joy or disturb our souls.
Everything would be possible because our focus would be on the Lord Jesus, who makes all things possible.

Hope you had a great day like mine!

This Too Shall Pass

Just feel dishearten and burdened after a long talked to a friend today.
Dear Friend,
This too shall pass...

In the middle of the turbulence surrounding you
These trying times that are so hard to endure
In the middle of what seems to be your darkest hour
Hold fast your heart and be assured

This too shall pass, like every night that's come before it
He'll never give you more than you can bear
This too shall pass, so in this thought you be comforted
For it's in His hands, this too shall pass, oh yes

The Father knows the tears you cry before they fall
He feels your pain, His heart and yours are one
The Father knows that sorrow's heavy chains are strong
But with His strength, you'll overcome

So set your eyes, set them on the mountain
And lift your hands up to the sky
And let His arms of love surround you
Let Him take you to the other side

This too shall pass, like every night that's come and gone before it
I'm so glad, He never gives [Incomprehensible] more than you can bear
This too shall pass, so in this thought you be comforted
For it's in his hands, this too shall pass

It's in His hands, this too shall pass
Oh, it shall pass

Love,
A Friend

Home Decors

I admire people that are creative. People that can create something beautiful out of simple things in just a blink of an eye :).
I am not one of them. In able for me to create something, I always need an inspirational focal point or sometimes I go with the vibes. Something that I haven't seen yet, but once I've seen them I knew that it is the one I want. This doesn't happen all the time though. I tend to be very picky sometimes. Or maybe decorating is not my thing. I am more interested in fragrances and essential oils lol.
But I love  and enjoy looking at decorating blogs and fascinated of how they do it.

I stumble on this awesome blog about home decor. You can check it here http://knockoffdecor.com

I am pretty simple when it comes to home decors. I like modern or traditional style. I love linens and lots of pillows.
I love earthy tones with the combinations of light shades pastel colors, preferably beige or white and some dark colors. That's boring right? lol. Bright colors and patterns tend to overwhelm me. I am not there yet but I want to add one or two accents if needed. I love open concept kitchen and a dining and living room with big bay windows facing beautiful view :)

Anyway, I am inspired to try to do some of the ideas that I've seen in some decorating blogs I love to visit and hopefully I can do it right lol. I love learning new things and I hope that I have ample patience to do it too.
